The origins of the Turin double bed

Your new wooden bed will be made by Luca, a traditional craftsman from the Italian region of Turin who has been working for decades with different woods to create unique pieces of furniture. For the construction of this double bed, traditional techniques are used which will be evident when it comes to assembling the bed frame at home. The Kipli wooden bed doesn't contain a single piece of metal or plastic which gives it an authenticity that's complemented by its minimalist design ensuring that your new bed will fit in perfectly with any interior style. These features make the Kipli double bed a timeless piece of furniture that'll be with you for years to come while also helping to promote responsible and improved consumerism. 

The solid wood that's used to make this bed is Okoumewood which is what has been used throughout this double bed. In order to provide a better finish, we use natural varnishes which, in addition to leaving the wood's natural colour unspoiled, also helps in its conservation and contributes to its durability for generations to come.  

A unique wooden structure

The Turin double bed is made from solid pieces of wood without using any metal, plastic or chipboard in order to achieve a level of decorative comfort that's unique in the market. To further improve our customers' sleep, this wooden bed is constructed with rigid wooden slats that are separated every 5 cm, thus adding greater firmness and breathability to the mattress. 

One of the most unusual features of the Turin bed is the use of Okoumewood screws which makes it easy to assemble the bed. This unique detail, in addition to being both beautiful and surprising, joins the legs together with the bed frame and the rigid slats of the wooden bed base. The wooden screws give firmness and total support to the structure onto which you are going to place your natural latex mattress.

The Kipli double bed has been designed using only genuine materials such as Okoume wood and vegetable based varnishes. The usual varnishes used on these unique pieces of wood are carnauba vegetable wax, damar resin, linseed oil, citrus balsam and cedar oil. 

These products don't emit any toxic substances, endocrine disruptors or VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). These items can be found in the parts of other materials or manufacturers, all of which can contribute to the contamination of your home's interior.
