Materials play a key role in the style and durability of high tables. Here are a few popular options to help you make your choice:

- Solid wood: Solid wood is a top choice for those seeking both durability and aesthetic appeal. Hardwoods such as oak, beech, and ash are particularly durable and can last for years with proper care. For a solid wood tabletop, choose FSC-certified wood to support sustainable forest management. For example, our Kipli x Tiptoe high table is made from solid European ash, ensuring a product that is both sturdy and environmentally friendly.

- Metal and wood: A combination of wood and metal is perfect for a modern industrial look. Steel or wrought-iron legs add a touch of sturdiness and style. This type of solid-wood high table is particularly popular in bars and bistros, where the emphasis is on sturdy, durable furniture.

- Teak and acacia: Teak and acacia are two types of tropical wood that offer natural resistance to weather and moisture, making them excellent choices for tables that will be used outdoors or in high-traffic kitchens.

- Recycled materials: Choose high tables made from recycled materials for an eco-friendly option. These materials give each piece of furniture a unique look, adding a touch of character while supporting sustainable practices.

The height of a high table can vary depending on its intended use. Here are some typical heights to help you choose the one that best suits your space:

- Classic high table: Typically 90 cm tall, this table is ideal for quick meals, appetizers, or casual conversations over a drink. It is often used in bars and kitchens to create a relaxed atmosphere.

- Standing table: With a height between 110 and 120 cm, a standing table is designed to be used while standing or with high chairs. It’s ideal for bistro-style spaces or for creating a bar atmosphere at home.

- Bar table: With a standard height of 110 cm, a bar table is perfect for relaxing—whether you’re having a coffee, an aperitif, or even working standing up with a laptop

Choosing the right stool for your high table is essential for both comfort and style. Here are a few things to consider:

Height: Make sure the height of the stools matches that of your solid wood high table. They are generally available in heights ranging from 61 cm to 76 cm, depending on the height of the table or counter.

Style: The style of your seating should complement your room's decor. Whether you prefer an industrial, Scandinavian, rustic, or modern look, there are bar stools in a wide variety of styles to complement your high table.

Number: Calculate the number of stools you’ll need based on the size of your solid wood high table and the number of people you plan to seat. For a 160x200 high table, for example, 4 stools are generally sufficient for comfortable seating.

This type of table can become a focal point of your interior design. Whether in an open-concept kitchen, a modern living room, or an industrial-style dining room, high tables are extremely versatile. They can be paired with metal stools for an industrial look, or with wooden chairs for a more Scandinavian style.

For a very trendy look, choose a high table with a metal frame and a solid wood top, creating a contrast between the materials while adding character to the room.
