Hemp is a natural fiber with distinctive properties: it is hypoallergenic, dust-mite-resistant, antibacterial, temperature-regulating, and breathable. Whereas synthetic bedding traps heat and moisture, hemp naturally regulates temperature—keeping you cool in the summer and slightly warmer in the winter. Another unique feature: it becomes softer with each wash, whereas many synthetic materials deteriorate over time. Kipli hemp bedding is woven at 160 g/m² from 100% hemp, without any synthetic fibers or chemical treatments, and is certified to the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, which guarantees the absence of substances harmful to health. Available in two colors: natural and ivory.

This is the most frequently asked question about this material, and the answer is nuanced: raw hemp isn’t naturally soft, but processed, woven, and washed hemp is. Kipli hemp bedding gradually softens with each wash, just like washed linen. From the very first use, the fabric feels naturally soft. It’s a different kind of softness than that of percale cotton or flannel—one that’s more textured and vibrant, and that develops over time rather than fading away. The 160 g/m² weave gives it a pleasant lightness: neither too thin nor too heavy, it’s suitable for both summer and winter.

Yes, it is one of the least resource-intensive textile crops. Hemp grows without artificial irrigation, pesticides, or chemical treatments, and its cultivation naturally enriches the soil. It does not need to be chemically treated after harvest to retain its natural properties. Kipli hemp bedding is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, which guarantees that the final product is free of substances harmful to health—from cultivation through to the finished fabric. This certification is issued by an independent organization; it is not a self-declaration.

Kipli hemp bedding is machine washable up to 40°C. Do not dry clean. Air dry only; never use a dryer. Iron at a moderate temperature, up to 150°C. Never use chlorine-based bleach. These instructions apply to the entire range, including bedding sets, duvet covers, fitted sheets, and pillowcases. When properly cared for, hemp becomes softer with each wash rather than deteriorating. All items are covered by a 2-year warranty against any manufacturing defects or flaws.

For a 140x190 cm mattress, choose the 140x190 cm size. For a 140x200 cm mattress, choose the 140x200 cm size. For a 160x200 cm mattress, choose the 160x200 cm size. For a 180x200 cm mattress, choose the 180x200 cm size. If you’re unsure between two sizes, go with the larger one—a fitted sheet that’s slightly too big will still fit snugly, while one that’s too small will come loose during the night.
