The certifications of our mattress
El certificado EUROLATEX – LATEX 100% NATURAL, guarantees that the core of the Kipli mattress is made from 100% natural latex. This certification can only be obtained if the body of the mattress has been manufactured in Europe.
The certificate attests to the absence of the use or presence of any substances which may be harmful to human health in the latex, such as heavy metals, pesticides, solvents or volatile organic compounds. The latex is transported and stored in safe conditions in order to avoid any kind of contamination. This certification is recognised by the European Commission. 100% NATURAL EUROLATEX certification attests to respectful working conditions (in accordance with E.U. regulations) for all staff who are involved in the production chain.
The natural latex that's used to manufacture the Kipli mattress is certified by the ECO-INSTITUT which guarantees the absence of any substances or emissions which may be harmful to human health.
This certificate guarantees that the core of the Kipli mattress doesn't contain any type of residue from chemical substances, and doesn't produce any type of gaseous emissions which may be harmful to humans. Testing is done carefully to rule out the presence of potentially toxic materials, such as volatile organic compounds, (VOCs), persistent organic pollutants, heavy metals, pesticides, phthalates and formaldehyde.
The fabrics and material used in the production of the Kipli cover are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified for Product Class 1, the most rigorous standard, which guarantees that the product is suitable for use by children.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is an independent, international control system that's recognised world-wide covering raw materials and textiles at every level of their processing and for any accessories that are utilised during the manufacturing process. Among these controlled substances are: azo dyes, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, nickel and lead. The criteria for conformity are significantly higher than many other national and international regulatory requirements.
A durability test is performed by subjecting the mattress core to a weight of 150 kgs, in order to simulate the long-term use of a mattress. The aim of this test is to check the latex, its density and resilience after 30,000 movements which would correspond to the equivalent of nightly use over a period of 10 years. The loss of less than 1% of the original height of the mattress is thus verified.
A resistance test is performed on the mattress's sides, exercising pressure over 20 cm at the edges of the mattress. After repeating this test 5,000 times, the height loss should be less than 1%.
When this testing is performed on the Kipli mattresses, the latex core of our mattresses does not present any defects.
The Certification covering our bed frames
PEFC certifies the responsible management and sustainability of the forests from which our wood is sourced, guaranteeing correct usage which respects the environment together with any social and economic factors.
This certification guarantees the sustainability of the management processes and the ecological balance of the forests, with PEFC contributing to the conservation of the eco-systems in the conservation of the flora and fauna's biodiversity in the forests. On an environmental level, forests absorb more than 10% of the CO2 emitted annually in France so their role in preserving the climate and the environment is, therefore, essential. Through Kipli's sourcing of wood for the production of our bed bases, we are also contributing to the continuity and preservation of this important work at source.
Certification of our textile products
Eco-Cert certification contributes to the control of organic farming, ensuring that the European criteria and standards governing organic production methods are adhered to.

This exigent organisation with its rigorous standards, ensures that the European regulations for organic production are adhered to with spot checks and ad hoc testing at production locations.
The Kipli mattress protector is Eco-Cert certified, which guarantees that the organic cotton used in its manufacture doesn't contain any hazardous materials.
Tencel certifies the vegetal origins of the fibre used in the filling of Kipli's duvets.
The fibre used in the filling of Kipli's duvets is cellulose fibre (or Lyocell) which is certified by Tencel who undertake the manufacturing of the textile fibre from wood that's sourced from sustainable forests.
The manufacturer guarantees that the fibre is made in accordance with processes that respect the environment, is biodegradable and suitable for composting.
