Whether we share it or not, the comforter we sleep with has a significant impact on the quality of our sleep. Choosing the right comforter will ensure that your nights are restful, uninterrupted and healthy. Here are a few things to consider so you can sleep like a rock!

WHAT MATERIAL SHOULD IT BE MADE OF?

In general, there are three main types of comforters on the market.
The most common type of comforter is the synthetic comforter. They are not expensive, but have the major disadvantage that they are made of plastic which is not very durable.

They also undergo many chemical treatments that can be toxic, and have a shorter lifespan (about 5 years).

More traditionally, we find feather and down comforters. These comforters are known to be very warm, but are also more expensive. They have a long lifespan and must be maintained by professionals to prevent damage.
So choosing the Kipli Lyocell comforter is a healthy, natural and vegan alternative to complete your bedding.

LIGHTWEIGHT ALL SEASON COMFORTER?

Surprisingly, Kipli Lyocell comforters are completely plant-based.
Made from organic cotton and wood pulp, they are designed to help you sleep better.
These natural materials are soft, comfortable and very breathable.

This allows the temperature to be controlled so it is not too cold and not too hot, and reduces perspiration and the spread of dust mites.

In our comforters you will find no chemical treatments. So there is no risk of inhalation of or contact with VOCs (volatile organic compounds), endocrine disruptors and toxic fumes.

The cover is made entirely of organic cotton, grown without treatment in naturally humid areas to use less water. The cotton feels soft and silky against the skin.

The filling is also completely natural. Lyocell is made from the pulp of wood grown in sustainable forests. It is a breathable and resistant material that ensures the durability of the comforter. Moreover, the durability of our comforters is guaranteed by their assembly.

The quilting holds the lyocell in place, in squares that prevent it from lying at the bottom of the comforter. Thus, the filling is evenly distributed and ensures a nice fill.

With all these benefits, which one should you choose?

  • The light comforter is ideal for the warmer periods of the mid-season and summer. It is also ideal if you heat your room to more than 22°C.
  • The all-weather comforter is ideal for the coldest periods of the mid-season and winter. It is ideal for a bedroom that is heated to between 16° and 18°C.
  • This allows the temperature to be controlled so it is not too cold and not too hot, and reduces perspiration and the spread of dust mites.

WHICH SIZE TO CHOOSE ?

It is not always easy to know what size comforter to choose. It is essential to take into account the dimensions of your bed in order to make the right choice.

To do this, you will find below a very simple guide that will allow you to make the right choice:

  • You have a single bed 90 cm wide: choose the comforter 140x200 cm
  • You have a 120 cm wide single bed: choose the comforter 200x200 cm
  • You have a double bed 140 cm wide: choose the comforter 240x220 cm
  • If you have a double bed 160 cm wide: choose the comforter 240x220 cm or 260x240 cm for more headroom.
  • If you have a 180 cm wide double bed: choose the comforter 260x240 cm
