Sturdy and sufficiently wide, you can place plants, books or decorative items on the natural wood shelves as you wish. These can be used in the bedroom to match other items of natural furniture in the Lyon range as well as in the living room or kitchen.

Natural components

In order to combine elegance with practicality, we've created the Lyon natural wood wall shelf. This shelving is made from solid beech wood. We specifically chose this wood as it is known for its strength and durability, enabling us to offer a sustainable piece of furniture. Coupled with this, the forests in Normandy from which the wood comes, are PEFC certified which means they're sustainably managed and are respectful of the environment.

The Lyon shelving, with its elegant, simple and timeless design, will blend in easily with any kind of interior style. Therefore, even after many years, it will still fit in perfectly with new or different decorative trends.

A product that's healthy and environmentally friendly

For the painting and finishing of these shelves, we decided to use only natural materials. As an alternative to chemical paints, a VOC-free water based varnish is used to protect the beautiful natural colour of these solid wood wall shelves. Most wooden furniture is made from reconstituted wood. However, these artificial wood products, like chemical glues and varnishes, can exude harmful emissions and VOCs, (Volatile Organic Compounds) which can be dangerous to human health and also contribute to indoor pollution. By using only natural materials, we are able to guarantee that this shelf is a healthy product for you, your home and the planet.

Responsible production

We care about our impact on the environment and therefore, we endeavour to focus on local production. The wood from which the solid wood wall shelf is made comes from forests that are located less than 100 km from our carpentry workshops. This means that we are able to guarantee a reduction in the transport of these raw materials and also promote local employment. Furthermore, solid wood has the ability to store CO2 and, therefore, has a positive carbon footprint.

These wooden shelves are equipped with invisible fixings. In order to fix this wooden shelf to the wall, raw plugs will need to be inserted into the wall with the screw protruding slightly so that the wall shelf can be attached without the fixings being visible.
