Sturdy and durable solid wood bed

We crafted the Normandie solid wood bed from a single material: solid beech. The wood comes from PEFC-certified forests in Normandy, which guarantees their sustainable management. These forests are ideally located less than 100 km from our woodworking workshops, thereby reducing our environmental impact and supporting local employment. For the Kipli bed base, we chose solid beech for its strength. Our goal was to offer a durable product designed to last. To maximize its longevity, we chose a simple yet elegant design that adapts to interior design trends. Thanks to its durability and aesthetic appeal, you’ll be able to enjoy it for many years to come. This purchase is part of a commitment to more mindful consumption.

The use of solid wood results in a low environmental impact. It has the ability to store carbon and thus helps reduce CO2 in the air.

The wood used in our solid wood beds contains no melamine-faced or engineered wood. To ensure a healthy piece of bedroom furniture, it is also free of all synthetic or toxic substances. In fact, no synthetic adhesives or varnishes are applied to the wood. The varnish we use to protect the wood of the Kipli bed frame and achieve that beautiful finish is water-based. This natural formula ensures that there are no harmful emissions or endocrine disruptors that contribute to indoor air pollution.

Customizable to suit your preferences

We designed this solid wood bed to adapt to your needs and preferences. As mentioned above,the Kipli bed base affects the firmness of your mattress. Choose a bed with flexible slats for a cozy, inviting feel. In contrast, rigid slats are the better choice if you prefer a firmer sleeping surface.

It’s important that the solid wood bed blends seamlessly with your bedroom. To ensure it suits you best, you can choose the height of the legs. If you’d like the bed to be close to the floor, we recommend choosing 5 cm legs. On the other hand, if you’d prefer a little more height, we offer 30 cm legs. With the 30-cm legs, you can even create storage space under the bed by sliding in shoe boxes or a small chest, for example. For a medium height, choose the 20-cm legs, which correspond to a standard height.

That’s not all—to complement your Kipli wooden bed frame , you can add a headboard made of unfinished wood. Made of three solid beech slats, it adds charm to your bed. Finally, you have the option of adding shelves on the sides. These are very practical and can replace nightstands in adult or children’s bedrooms with limited space. 

The wooden bed frame is available in four adult sizes: 140x200 wooden bed, 140x190 wooden bed, 160x200 solid wood bed, and 180x200 wooden bed. If you’re looking for other sizes, such as single beds—for a child, for example—we recommend the Tapissier beech wood bed frame.
