How do you care for a pillow protector?

How do you care for a pillow protector?

Regular care preserves the effectiveness of both mattress and pillow protectors and keeps your bedding hygienic. The rule is simple: wash often enough to remove moisture and impurities without damaging the fabric. With 100% organic cotton fleece, you can count on excellent heat tolerance. Our protectors are machine-washable up to 95°C, making it easy to give them a thorough cleaning when needed. Air-drying is recommended to preserve softness; ironing on a very hot setting is fine if you prefer a crisp finish.

For small stains, gently pre-treating them with Marseille soap is sufficient: dab, rinse, and let dry. Avoid solvents and concentrated fabric softeners, which coat the fibers and impair breathability. The organic cotton pillow protector and the bolster cover become softer with every wash; that’s the advantage of cotton that’s brushed on both sides, designed to last.

Follow a simple routine: wash the pillow protector once every one to two weeks, and the mattress protector once a month (more frequently in hot weather or if you have allergies). Air out the bedroom for a few minutes every day, make sure the covers are completely dry before making the bed, and store the clean linens in a dry place. This routine keeps things fresh, protects the filling, and helps extend the life of your bedding.

One last point: Choose certified textiles made locally whenever possible. Our bedding is made in France, in the Vosges region, by a GOTS-certified family-owned business, and is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified. A mark of trust for healthier bedding, day after day.
