A visual guide for each bed
Certain details have the power to change everything. Decorative pillows are one such detail. When arranged with care, they transform a bed into a true focal point, add depth to a bedroom, and create a soft, polished atmosphere.
But you still need to know how to arrange them. Too few, and the effect is lost. Too many, and the overall look becomes overwhelming. Here’s how to create an elegant arrangement, based on the size of your bed.
140-cm bed (Full)
Desired effect: a balanced, compact look, perfect for medium-sized rooms.
Back: 2 large pillows, 66x66 cm
Center: 2 square cushions, 45x45 cm
Before: 1 rectangular pillow, 43x43 cm
💡 Tip: Choose pillows with dense yet soft filling so they keep their shape without making the bed too firm.
160-cm Bed (Queen)
Desired effect: to create depth without making the design look cluttered.
Back: 2 pillows, 66x66 cm
Center: 2 or 3 square cushions, 50x50 cm
Before: 1 long cushion, 35 x 76 cm
💡 Tip: Mix up textures (crinkled linen, organic cotton, looped wool) for a cozy, lively look.
180–200 cm bed (King)
Desired effect: to fill the entire width of the bed with balance and presence.
Back: 3 pillows, 66x66 cm
Center: 2 square cushions, 56x56 cm, or 50x75 cm
Before: 1 long pillow, 35 x 95 cm
💡 Tip: For a “hotel suite” look, opt for understated, timeless shades (beige, greige, sage, midnight blue, etc.).
Good Rules to Keep in Mind
Hide your night pillows behind the decorative throw pillows for a neat and tidy look.
Follow a visual hierarchy: place the largest items in the back and the smallest in the front.
Choose natural materials: they're breathable, long-lasting, and provide a real sense of comfort.
Coordinate the colors with your bedding, rug, or even your headboard. What matters is consistency—not symmetry.
Because comfort is all about the details
A beautifully made bed invites you to slow down. It invites you to sit on it, stretch out on it, and take your time. It’s that little extra touch of care that makes the bedroom feel more welcoming every day. At Kipli, we believe that comfort is as much about how it feels as it is about the materials. And that a well-chosen, well-placed pillow can make all the difference.
