A Story of Encounter and Legacy

The story told on the air begins before Kipli. It follows personal paths, then leads to a meeting: that of Antoine and Davide. And it also intersects with a material, almost like a common thread. In Davide’s family, an uncle was already working withnatural latexinItaly. This isn’t just a technical detail—it’s a memory. This expertise inspired a desire to breathe new life into this legacy, infusing it with a commitment to transparency, health, and durability.
That’s often how solid projects come about. Not from a passing fad, but from a simple truth: we don’t sleep “on” a product—we sleep “with” it, night after night, for years on end.
Sleep: The Unassuming Cornerstone of Daily Life

The pitch shared on Europe 1 starts with an observation that science never tires of emphasizing: sleep is a biological necessity and a key factor in well-being. Without quality sleep, everything else becomes more fragile, more chaotic, and less stable. The body recovers, the nervous system regulates itself, and attention is restored. And the body’s internal clock needs cues: light, rhythm, and regularity.
That’s where our approach comes into play. We’re not trying to “sell a dream,” but to create fairer conditions: breathable fabrics, fewer synthetics, and more consistency. Because what touches the skin, what you breathe in, and what supports your body for eight hours should remain simple and straightforward.
The subjects we choose (and why)

On Europe 1, one question came up again: “What materials do you mainly sell?” Antoine’s answer can be summed up in a few words, and it encapsulates our product line:natural latexformattresses, but also for certain seat cushions, as well asorganic cotton,Tencel, andsolidoakand beechwood, sourced as much as possible from France and Europe.
Behind this selection lies a simple idea: to replace the “more is better” mindset with a “better is better” mindset. On the market, a large portion of bedding still relies on synthetic foams derived from petrochemicals. We, however, have chosen to ban plastic from our flagship product: our 100% natural latex mattress. This choice is about health, but also about longevity: a product designed to last for years, without planned obsolescence.
And because quality sleep isn't just about the mattress, Antoine emphasized that our vision extends to the bedroom and the entire home: solid wood beds and box springs built to last, sofa beds designed to serve as proper beds, and bedding accessories that enhance comfort without complicating it, and bed linens chosen for its softness and breathability. Always with the same goal in mind: calmer, more sustainable, and more essential interiors.
Why “Kipli”… and what comes next

A simple question was asked on the microphone:“Why Kipli?”Antoineanswered by tracing the name back to its origins.KiplicomesfromKipling, the author of*The Jungle Book*. Since “Kipling” already existed, we shortened it. And the reason this word stuck is also because of the storybehind it: Davide often read*The Jungle Book*tohis child. A name born from a bedtime story—a calm, repetitive, intimate gesture. A way of saying that, for us, things rarely start with noise, and almost always with intention.
But very quickly, this question gave way to another, equally essential one:where is Kipli headed? Because, at the end of the day, a name is only as good as what we make of it. In 2025, we continued to build a cohesive world, made up of accessible materials and pieces that stand the test of time: wood, ceramics, textiles, and light—all driven by a constant desire to make homes more serene and sustainable. That same year, we also strengthened our presence in France, so that comfort could be experienced before it’s chosen—notably with the opening of our boutique/showroom inBordeaux, designed as a serene space where you can touch, try, understand, and take your time.
And the next phase is already underway. In 2026, we’re preparing several projects in the same spirit: opportunities to test a mattress in real-life conditions (in a calm, unhurried setting), a podcast series to make sleep more accessible, new living room pieces, and a redesigned website to provide clearer, more straightforward guidance. Nothing that changes our course: simply a way to continue growing an idea that’s close to our hearts—bringing naturalness, transparency, and a long-term perspective into our homes.

Kipli, plain and simple.
