Throughout the year, Kipli remains true to its values

Much to the dismay of some, Kipli still doesn't mean sales.

Anticipated by some as much as Christmas, the sales season is a peak period for brands. Stores are swamped with shoppers, and our inboxes are overflowing with “great deals.”

Except that a brand that can afford to hold sales is one that sells at a substantial markup all year round. Because, yes, it’s not out of the goodness of their hearts that weget to enjoy “an incredible 50% off” sale—it’s because their profit margins allow for it, achieved by cutting corners on the quality of raw materials, manufacturers’ wages, and production locations… In short, after the environment, the people who pay the highest price for these sales are you, the consumers.

Some companies have chosen to offer low-quality products at inflated prices to maximize profits. At Kipli, aside from the fact that we don’t want to do that, the main reason is that we simply can’t. By maintaining fair prices and consistent profit margins, we’ve prioritized the use of natural materials, the expertise of French and Italian manufacturers, local sourcing, and fair compensation.

So yes, because of their high quality, our products cannot be sold at a discount.

Finally, there are those who hold sales, those who have chosen not to, and those who have decided to stop holding them altogether. One might think they’ve (finally) come to their senses. But just like the famous “Made in France” label, the tricolor flag, and “super organic” products, isn’t the absence of sales just yet another opportunistic attempt to greenwash their image?

To help protect the planet and your wallet, we recommend choosing brands that let you shop at fair prices all year round—not just during sales. A truly authentic brand that doesn’t compromise on its values and upholds them year-round.

So shop all year round, but shop responsibly:
