Throughout the year, Kipli remains true to its values
Much to the chagrin of some customers, Kipli remains firm in its decision not to offer discounts.
As eagerly anticipated as Christmas, sales events are a major highlight for many brands. Stores are swamped with shoppers, and our inboxes are overflowing with “great deals.”
But a brand that can afford to offer discounts is one that sells at high margins all year round. Because, yes, an “incredible 50% off” sale is rarely an act of generosity; rather, it’s made possible by cutting corners on the quality of materials, manufacturers’ wages, and production methods. In short, after the environment, the real losers when it comes to discounts are the consumers themselves.
Some companies rely on low-quality products sold at inflated prices to generate high profits. At Kipli, however, we not only choose not to offer discounts—we simply cannot afford to. With fair prices and reasonable profit margins, we focus on natural materials, the craftsmanship of French and Italian manufacturers, local sourcing, and fair wages.
Because of this quality, our products are therefore not eligible for discounts. There are those who offer discounts, those who consciously choose not to, and those who have stopped offering them altogether. Perhaps this seems like a form of new awareness, but just like the well-known “Made in Germany” label or the organic certification, the decision not to offer discounts is sometimes just a strategy to appear “greener.”
For the sake of the environment and your wallet, we recommend choosing brands that offer fair prices year-round—not just during sales. A truly authentic brand that upholds its values year-round without compromise.
So shop all year round, but shop responsibly.
